As I think is common, I was initially cautious about how to proceed with the repairs needed for my car. But after a bit of interaction with the staff, I decided to take a chance on their expertise concerning Japanese vehicles. What I was left with was being convinced that folks who specialize in certain makes of vehicles are indeed equipped with a certain expertise over other mechanics. One mechanic does not fit all, regardless of their competency, knowledge, or skill level.Jamie and her team did a great job of diagnosing the issue(s), eliminating what I thought was the problem, and thereby enabling me to financially address other pertinent mechanical issues. And for that I am grateful.Thank you to the entire staff at Thompson Automotive for professionally bearing with a skeptical customer and providing terrific service.

I think the question of which is esiear to fix misses the point. The two operating systems tend not to have the same problems so it is an apples to oranges comparison, or maybe an intellectual exercise of no real value and with no logical outcome, like asking, How many angels can dance on the head of a pin? More to the point in my opinion is, How often does it have to be fixed? And there I find a useful answer from a comparison of Windows and GNU/Linux, with GNU/Linux requiring fewer interventions when used on the same hardware for the same tasks. In fairness, I haven't touched a computer with Windows 7 installed, but for example up through Vista, so much of the fixing wasn't really fixing anything, but rather endless futzing around configuring (and reconfiguring) crap like networking and hardware drivers. Set it up, tell em it's working again, and hope that I can make it home before they call and tell me it quit again.Fortunately, all the PCs owned by friends and family that I feel any real responsibility for maintaining, were converted to Ubuntu LTS before I got too sick to take care of all of them, and Ubuntu doesn't take much in the way of maintenance if you don't deliberately set out to break it like the author of this article did by removing mono.

From the moment I spoke with the friendly staff about my issues I knew I was in good hands! The kindness and honesty that was not only extended to me but every customer that walked through their door was a breath of fresh air! Heck I might even just stop by for a morning cup of coffee just to soak up some of the positive attitude that they have. Thanks Thompson Automotive for taking care of my truck and me! 🙂
